I find statements like these hard to believe seeing as how Halo, an exclusive game, has sold more then many multiplat games today. This proves that a game with a huge budget and a significant fanbase can do just fine staying an exclusive. And this marketing move was obviously a forcing of SE's hand by MS. They have wanted it for so long. In an interview MS completely evades a chance to say they did not pay for it. MS has also payed for smaller games to go MP, so why wouldnt they for one of the biggest franchises ever?

while everyone is entitled to there own opinion I must STRONGLY disagree. The gap between the two systems is much larger then most want to admit. Even with all the developers saying the PS3 is more powerful no one ones to believe it simply because the games are not showing it yet, this is sensible. But with all this Multiplat Garbage the systems will never be able to prove it now will they? A console cannot prove its superiority through multiplats, it has to be an EXCLUSIVE so it can use FULL specs. Blu Ray still is not being fully utilized, with most games only scratching the surface.
And of course no 360 gamer would have a problem with yet ANOTHER PS3 game going multiplatform, what does that prove? THat there are actually games that 360 audience want that was on the other system, thats what. Meaning any sales generated from 360 would have simply been added to the PS3 total console sales. Exclusives make a connsole, otherwise people will just look for the cheapest one they can find. This is what is going on right now with some games jumping ship. Resident Evil, FF, DMC, etc all these games jumped to multiplatform with little to show for it besides a lot of pissed off fanboys/girls. The only people losing this gen are the console owners, multiplat will be the death of both of them because without deciding games to sway a buyers vote they simply will remain splitting the audience instead of sharing it.
