To those who think Nintendo 'isn't being Nintendo' by doing this sort of thing, remember the reason Nintendo don't use sex, violence, drugs, bad language, etc. in their games is not because of moral objections but because it wouldn't improve the quality of the game and therefore wouldn't improve sales. If Miyamoto thought Mario with a chainsaw would sell millions of copies, get great reviews and be revered as a gaming masterpiece, he would do it.
