Sadly they do. Ratings actually determine lots of things.

 

In the movie industry, ratings determine general quality.  In the game industry they determine nothing but the general consensus of opinions of 25-35 year old males who spend their whole lives playing games. 

Let me ask you something: are your favorite games of all time the top rated games of all time?  Because if they are, that's really quite sad that you can't form opinions of your own.

Rofl...Let me ask you, if rating doesnt matter whats the point of rating games than? When you use the word, "anyone" your speaking for everyone, not only yourself. That made me jump to conclusions...
