Instead of gimping FFXIII (which will no doubt rely much on its graphics), I think it'd be better if Wii owners got their own Square Enix game. There will probably be many Wii owners that have never played an RPG, so something that can hook them into RPG's would be nice - the genre could definitely use more fans. KH3 on the Wii does sound perfect for this, though it'd be nice if FF:CC was a good RPG (suited to the Wii's strengths) that could also reel in some new gamers. I don't have that much faith in Square Enix's (non-KH, non-FF) devs, though.
