SONY is aiming for an internet based system, and focusing heavily on downloadable games, video content, music content, etc. Taking out wi-fi wouldn't help this at all. what about LAN?? people who don't care about downloadable content do exist
And I don't see them going lower than 2 USB ports. Honestly the controllers charge through USB.... having only 1 isn't too attractive.. even the ps2 had 2. TRUE,, but they are using 4 ports now , right?
A 40GB HDD isn't that big these days, and lets not forget there are some games already programmed for magnatory installs, leaving the option of "no HDD at all" impossible. I don't see SONY going back to a 20GB HDD with the amount of downloadable content and the installs that are around in games today. i think 40 giga is ok for games alone,
And as for the BD drive.... who here really thinks SONY would make a model without it??? HONESTLY??? no one, but the BR is getting cheaper and that could help
As far as I see it.... all SONY can do is lower the price, the 40GB looks like the minimal in terms of what SONY is trying to make of with the ps3.

i brought this up becuase sales of ps3 here are so so so low , people here care about gaming but they lose intrest when the ps3 = 670$ for the 40 gig -including me- :)
