I think this would bring things full circle, Brawl will be the best selling smash, MKWii will be the best selling MK, WiiSports will be the best selling game ever (also in Japan). The only major IP that would be the best selling is SMG (3d marios), but Mario 64 did come out a time when that genre (3d platformers) was at it peak. Also, If they made a new DK 3d Plat I think it would have trouble outselling DK64.

 

This was confirmed by just about everyone at Nintendo after the debacle at E3. Nintendo was quick to point out they were making new "Core" games but that they would be far more accessible to casual gamers.

As for the topic, sure it'll sell more, hasnt nearly every old IP on the Wii outsold its contempories on the N64? That Im not sure about, but Im pretty sure its true.



I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.
