That's what i'm thinking.
Though it could just use the EA servers... like most EA games tend to. Which i would expect. Too bad the Wii probably doesn't meet Spores minimium specs. Otherwise they'd be able to do cross platforming. Might even still be able to depending how the characters files are stored and read...
Though i'm still I'm wondering if it will be the full game or be like the DS version and maybe be more creature based.
