| CGI-Quality said: That wasn't my point to this thread - Yes more people enjoying the game is fine but I didnt buy a 360 to play FFXIII or Devil May Cry 4 and I didnt buy a PS3 to play Gears or Halo and I didnt buy a Wii to play Uncharted or Mass Effect- see where Im going here I have all three sytems and like all three systems but I bought all three systems to play that system's respective exclusives not to play the same game on all three systems bottom line : Gears/Halo= Xbox360, Heavy Rain/Killzone 2= PS3, SSBB/Mario Kart Wii= Nintendo Wii I bought all to enjoy variety not the same that's all I'm sayin. Those people who truly may have finally wanted a PS3 so that they could have one of the games that attracated them to the Sony brand in the first place now are wondering what happened and should they even bother with a PS3 and that sucks for Sony.

If all consoles could play all games, it would truely be better for every gamer. Software would be based off its own merit, and option and competition would drive games to be better and cheaper. Preying against that has no argument that doesn't include a hint at system wars somewhere deep down.
That said, I wasn't flaming you, or this thread. I was simply responding to the poster who was afraid to state his opinions, because he felt he might get flamed. Anyone who would flame another, on that issue, is being selfish and elitist.
Saying, "Well just spend the money and buy X if you want to play X" is missing the point. We're talking about things getting better, not functional solutions on game X, under the current flawed method. Most conversations on this site are hypothetical. So is this one.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
