What would happen if Nintendo actually evolved their characters?

they'll never do that, which is why they lost me as a customer, I grew up and they're games haven't. N64 was their last console I owned(my GC doesn't count, I bought that to get The Twin Snakes only) And the only games that I really enjoy on the wii are 3rd party titles.
