And it won't ever get a library like the PS2's because...

1. The Wii's success WILL make third parties jump ship.
2. 360 keeps getting multiplat games with the PS3.

The PS3 isn't going to last like the PS2. Sony need to focus on next gen and see if they can make a decent profit or else they're screwed a lot more.

 

Actually I see it out lasting PS2, due to SONY wanting to make a decent profit which they will, and Firmware updates to keep it fresh.

 

They cant do it, MS will launch another console and make the PS3 look like the PS3 makes the WII look now.  Heck even the WII will launch another console.  They have 5-7 years max

 most of those third party devs produce shovelware imo

nothing in the near future can make a PS3 look like a wii

You cant really beleive that processor power doubles every two years (Moores Law) so 4 years from know something will be at least 4 times more powerful.  The PS3 and the 360 graphics wise are a dead heat give MS 4-5 years and they will make the Ps3 look like a WII

 

In a couple years time when the PS3 and maybe the Xbox 360 (seems like the 360 might already be at it's max) will be at its max with there graphics, it'll already look so realistic that the next generation won't seem that much different (graphics wise). Sony and MS won't really be able to say "hey look at are video game system and how much better the graphic are from last generation" because it won't be that much different compared to how different it was with the PS2 and PS3. So they'll likely be looking for something innovative and something we've not seen before, instead of focusing on improving the graphics.
