"What's your point, neither of those games have been able to put a dent in the wii's sales. If the best two games of this generation can't change anything, why do you think any others will?"

MGS 4 put the PS3 ahead of the Wii worldwide for one week. If GTA IV had been a console exclusive it could have done even more so. When a time comes that the 360 and PS3 have a steady flow of MGS 4 and GTA IV quality games all coming at the same time, then that will have an affect upon worldwide sales especially if the only things Nintendo has to combat it is pablum like Animal Crossing and Wii Music. Most videogame console sales are generated when someone goes over to a friend's house or a store, etc, and they see something that totally blows them away. The PS3 and 360 have much greater potential to be able to deliver these games than does the Wii.  If you had GTA IV coming out exclusively for the PS3 or 360 in April followed by MGS 4 in early June then Final Fantasy XIII in August (As in The PS2's holiday 01 season when you had GTA III, MGS 4, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy X, and Jak and Daxter all AAA titles hitting within a few weeks of each other), that would have a much greater effect than MGS 4 coming out in June followed by waiting for Little Big Planet to come out in October.

The next AAA titles for the Wii aren't scheduled to be released until the Spring of '09 which could give several of the big HD titles momentum during the holiday season.

So PS3 would only need 52 Metal Gear Solid 4s a year to win this console war.

This plan cannot fail.
