@Zen-I mentioned never needing to grind in the game, so that would be why I felt recipes were not important. Was there something to accomplish with a powerful team built from grinding? I managed to finish with Lloyd in the 50s and the rest of my starters in the 30s and still beat Ygddrassil on my first run. Also the same effect could be had in battles by buying MP potions instead of food for recipes and you can use a healer on your team in the background to just continuously heal. When they get low, pop them with a potion and they're good to go. Same effect, less hassle.

At a certain level you get an uber attack, where Lloyd busts into supersayajin, splits into 4 dopplegangers and pwns stuff. Also there is the battle arena. Next, your score determines what you can buy for new game + and it gets better the higher level you get. Finally there was a sword that dealt damage based on amout of enemies killed.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
