@MikeB

And what to do when nearly all multiplatform PS3 games are either on par or better (which will very likely happen for the long run).

They aren't right now, but when they are... Uhm? What there is to do? :)

Wouldn't Madden 2007 comparisons been pretty useless in hindsight in terms of comparisons between system capabilities?

When it came out it wasn't really useless comparison. It basically tells what you could get from both systems then.

If so will you then admit you were wrong?

Admit what? You can get (kind of) better results with PS3. Still I am not sure will we see those before next gen.

Early 360 ports used less PS3 resources, due to their game engines.

Are you sure? I think some used 'all' resources, but they just used it all 'badly'.

For the long run the PS3 simply has more resources.

For (very) long run yes, but how about while it really matters(and thats before next gen)?

The problem is "it will be much better", which isn't yet. Maybe in the future or maybe not, nobody knows what will happen. Lets just wait for those games where leading platform is PS3 and we will see will PS3 be better then or how soon it will be.
