I'd say it's still too early to tell. LBP has a proven concept and judging by previews, it'll probably be an excellent game. However, Spore has the better concept but it's too new to tell how it actually works. It might be awesome, good, bad, horrible - anything.
It's not too clear sales-wise either. Spore's success depends pretty much, not completely though, on the players of The Sims - mostly the casuals, that is. Spore is probably the one to supposedly interest the 'hardcore' players more than LBP and it will thus sell well anyway (as long as it's good). LBP, however, is definitely going to sell well, the only possible drawback being negative reviews. While it will probably miss the casuals (who it could attract more than hardcore players), it has definitely aroused interest among most current PS3 owners. They'll both be hits (probably). I think LBP is more likely to sell well but Spore has more potential even sales-wise.
