I have a little bit of a problem with people relating this to YouTube.
1. It isn't free. I'm not talking about user generated content. I mean the game itself. YouTube would have been crippled if they tried to charge a membership fee of any kind, let alone $60 - $460.
2. Not anyone can do it. You may say that this is not true, but from the link in the OP, it took a couple of people an hour to create a rocket car that came apart unintentionally. I think the creation sounds awesome, but I also like to mess around in code to make simple games. Many people will get frustrated by creation.
"... but you don't have to create anything to have fun!"
Then why buy LBP? Explain the legs of the game without this feature.
