The RPGs I play have the typical save the world thing...but the stories are pretty different. They're reallly good so I don't complain. Plus I don't level grind that much. Also, I don't play any games with friends =/ So...single player games for me. |
I agree with Soriku here. I think the point he is trying to make, is the games he enjoys are about the characters, and not the cookie cutter stories.
When you create the content of a game yourself, it's fantastic, and a dream. However, there are certain drawbacks to these types of games, and those drawbacks are what Soriku and I, enjoy.
Characters, and narrative, of course don't exist any more than they do in Mario Kart. Other people are required to enjoy the game fully, like Mario Kart. If Soriku hates Mario Kart, Brawl, and all games like it, then it would be a fair assumption that he might not like this game. Now, I like Mario Kart, and I would like to play this game, but it's such an experiment if I would like it or not, I couldn't justify buying for full price. A rental, or a 30 dollar purchase, I could see, for myself. I think this game could hold my attention just long enough as a rental, and I don't think I'd be coming back to it unless I ran out of other games, more tailored to my tastes.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
