Do you have a personal or vested interest in seeing them fail or be proven fake because you're quite adamant for both while reaching deeply into conjecture to validate your claims. |
1. These are the same guys who declared that they were a licensed Wii dev 2 YEARS before the fact, used art against the will of the artist as concept art for yet ANOTHER game on their laundry list they have in "development" and have otherwise spent this entire time jerking the Nintendo community around to hype a game which may not even see release.
Would I put it past these guys to pull a stunt like this in the interest of building hype? If they're willing to declare something concept art for a game when it, in fact, was just another piece in an artist's portfolio, why would I put ANYTHING past this ridiculous clownshow of a developer?
2. I want them to either shit or get off the pot, not string players along for another 3 years to an inevitable horrible disappointment. I'm sick of hearing about them and I'm even more sick of the fact that I've had news sites not post news I've sent them about up and coming indie devs because "We don't want to be suckered by another Nibris". It's one thing to be an assclown of a developer like Akklaim was, but it's entirely another to spread that negative perception to other developers because they fall under the general heading of "indie dev".
Nibris is like the bad fart in the room that won't dissipate. They need to either release a damn game and stop hyping it until they're within a month of release, or vanish like the Phantom and Starcraft Ghost before it.
"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks
