If you think"a dev" is right, then ^ would not be some magical game developing fairy world where magical pixie dust and a standard PC based CPU/GPU architecture would make this possible.

Or maybe Insomniac is currently employing magical fairies with pixie dust to make PS3 development faster and easier.

Infinity Ward must be practicing similar employment practices since they went on record as saying it wasn't any harder, and CoD4 was released on time, with virtually identical results relative to the 360.

 

1. Insomniac is Sony's 2nd party. Thery have access to all first party developments and tools. The have access to instant assistance from Naughty Dog, Incognito, etc. 3rd parties don't have that much access. Look at how poor the first Madden game on the PS3 was.

2. Infinity Ward managed because they had two separate teams working on both games at the same time.
