PS2 launched in Nov 2000.
PS3 launched in March 2007.

You are comparing 13 months of PS2 sales with 22 months of PS3 sales.

 

 

this thread is not comparing the sales its just to show you a rough estimate on how the ps3 is doing so far this year using the ps2's sales as a guide
