ok i have been doing monthly sales comparisons of the ps2 2001 vs ps3 2008 in others. The ps2 sold 5,635,965 units through 2001 in total others alone. and i think the ps3 can beat that, i would have put the ps3 higher but closer looks at the data shows that a bulk of ps'2s sales came in December which probably means it was supply constraint through the year and sony were stocking up for the holiday season.

this thread is not comparing the sales its just to show you a rough estimate on how the ps3 is doing so far this year using the ps2's sales as a guide, so please dont wofl on to me about its fair to compare the ps3 2008 with ps2 2002 because i am not doing a comparison. I decided to use the ps2 sales for 2001 next to the ps3 sales 2008 because the ps3 needs to sell slightly under the ps3 for the rest of the year for my prediction to come true,
so if the ps3 is beating the ps2 that means the ps3 is on track to reach my prediction.
