Use your knife when facing enemies numbering less than 3, definitely use your knife when against 1, also you can get by with just your knife if your enemy isn't armed. For armed, just shoot once in the face, kick, then knife the enemy while they are on the ground.
In other news, didn't they tune this diffculty up because it was so easy to hit your enemy in the Wii Edition? I know I can fire off my handgun more accurately than the joystick controlled rifle.
