I don't believe Wii gamers would follow reviews.. I don't believe Wii gamers even follow reviews... (looking at you cookingmama & gameparty) I think it's safe to say those Wii gamers aren't hardcore =.=;

I'm picking a few copies up but first day.. I don't know, I'll read some reviews first. ;)

Just because a title isn't hardcore doesn't mean it isn't still a good game.  Like Brain Age for instance.

The thing I worry about are the foolhardy "Nintendo Hardcore Fanboys."  These are the jackasses that buy anything so long as Mario or Pikachu is slathered across it.  These are the people who  buy poorly rated uninventive nonsense like Mario Party 8, but look the other way to highly rated 3rd party software that sometimes costs less than the low-rated 1st party shlock.    You know, the people who constantly repeat the line, "just waiting for the new Mario, Zelda, and Metroid game."  These are the biggest threat to Nintendo's success because all they do is reinforce the stereotype that "only Nintendo games sell on Nintendo systems."

So, any jackass that you talk to that buys Nintendo systems and only sets his sights on a few 1st party franchises--punch him in the face and tell him how much of a selfish, close-minded ass he is.

Ever since the days of the N64, the Nintendo fans have been the biggest obstacle to 3rd party success on the Nintendo systems, and as an extension, they've also been the biggest threat to Nintendo's actual success.  Personally, I've sworn off 1st party titles for the Wii for a while.  I'm sick of the whole Mario Kart franchise anyway.  And if I waste my time focusing only on Nintendo's crap, I end up missing out on games like No More Heroes, Geometry Wars, Blast Works, Okami, etc.

It's the irony I've noticed for a long time--the biggest Nintendo fans are often the ones doing the most damage to the image of their consoles because they focus way too much on just Nintendo's franchises.

I've been hoping things would turn around with the Wii and DS, but still too many of these assholes continued to turn their backs on Contra 4, Geometry Wars, No More Heroes, Assassin's Creed DS, Dementium, Okami, Ninja Gaiden DS, and a wealth of other higher quality 3rd party titles.
