It doesn't really tell you that at all. Nintendo could take on debt if they needed to finance something absurdly expensive. On the other hand both MS and Sony would get out of gaming if their gaming division started to lose as much money as the rest of the company makes.
Sure MS has lost a lost of money over the history of XBox, but they haven't lost $17 billion per year. And while PS3 has lost a lot, they haven't lost $4 billion per year; and even with the losses PS3 did incure heads rolled, if they had been triple what they were and ongoing Sony would have killed its gaming division by now.
