Actually, with a couple more years of profits like Nintendo has had it's quite possible they could buy Sony out via hostile takeover. They don't have enough to cover the 38 billion Sony is worth plus extra for stock holders, but their surplus is enough that if Nintendo wanted to take a stab at it, they aren't too bad off.
