I do not have to have played GOW to know that being a dead immortal is an oxymoron in the way you are using it

 

Elvis is a dead immortal in the sense that he was mortal but his legacy will live on those giving him a shadow of true immortalality

Situation:

Kratos walks up behind Ares and stabs him in the back. Ares turns and kills Kratos. Ares = immortal Unkillable.

Kratos acends and becomes a god. Ares =/= immortal anymore.

Perfect sense. play the game.

 

once again that dosent make sense, what it sounds like is teh guy who pend GOW didnt look up what teh word immortal mean and thus now you dont know what it means as well...

 

in your instance if he could kill him then aries is not immortal just hard to kill
