@Shadowblind they are comparing that to last generation, and the Wii already has shown that it is could out perform the PS2 Gc, and Xbox by a considerable amount. So there is no reason to think that this won't be capable on the Wii. as for ripples and such we see that in many wii games, Fatal Frame IV is an example look at the way here dress moves. The lands and maps don't seem like a problem in a Cel Shaded game. Just look at windwaker which had massive areas. Though if it is a problem just make the view distance smaller, I'm sure it wouldn't effect the game too much, but the likeliness of it being a problem is low. And finally the load times don't seem to be a problem in many wii games, some even being more technically impressive than Tales of Vesperia. The effects you talk about all could be done on the Wii with one form or another, while some may be downgraded its quite possible. Also the game would be running in 480p, meaning it would use a significant amount of Ram, and Cpu cycles, which these could be used to pull off the environments and effects you talk about, and might even allow for better load times.
