Microsoft say that PS3 will be $399 by christmas

They should bring back the 20gb model just to say they have a version at $400/$300 this holiday season.

And any consideration of removing backward compatibility would be one of the biggest slaps to the face of the consumer I could imagine. I wouldn't put it past them though.
