Link would probably pick up a magnetic staf in the dungeon before Kratos, use it to scale walls, then eventually use that staff in the fight to have Kratos' swords stuck to it.
When that happens, throw in a quick couple of slashes, repeat 3 times, pick up heart container.
Next stop, the FF dungeon. Boss: Cloud
