What Gods? Who has Link beaten that was a God? Ganondorf is not a God by any means. Also, it's easy to go into detail about Links weapons because you can use them in several different ways in Loz. That doesn't tell us how it would effect Kratos though. How can you? This goes back to gameplay, in which we hit a road block again because you can't determine how things would happen. You can't prove that Link would be able to even bring Kratos close to him with a hookshot. Kratos doesn't follow the rules of the Loz games because he's not a part of them.
Arguments supporting Kratos constantly go "Kratos would kill Link"(no other supporting points made) or "Kratos killed a god/is immortal" and "Kratos led an army, which somehow is proof he's not dumb, and not easily tricked, as one would be led to believe by how he was apparently tricked into killing his own family"
That kind of argument is about as far as you CAN go in these discussions.
When I first got into this, I thought it would make a really cool debate, but the only place I see any real thought taking place is on Link's side. So this is kinda getting boring now.
Is there maybe someone who can actually offer a compelling argument about how Kratos would take on Link, defend against Link's attacks, successfully deal with his defenses, and then actually manage to attack successfully? I mean, with that it would at least make it look like Kratos stands a chance, but with arguments as they are now, I'm actually MORE convinced that Kratos would get his butt kicked.
