Link would clearly win...he has more practical moves and practical items and practical magic..while Kratos is just over the top and cool looking

Practically I like the word practical, but I'll only use it in a practically practical manner

Cane of Byrna or Nayru's love..damn...and Kratos loses...he can't even HURT Link then..

How? Why? You answer none of these important questions

Link can do too much...more than Kratos

Like..............what?  What can he do that outranks Kratos in shear force?

go to the light and dark world, travel through time, deflect any magic....

Not going to help in a one-on-one fight

the master sword is all-powerful mind you...

Not even close,  it's just the sword of evil's bane aka: A sword meant to kill Ganondorf in the Zelda universe.

(side quest swords are..and will always be side quest swords)

Kratos has chains? Link has double Claw shot...Kratos can only cut with his..Link can freaking pull Kratos' swords away from him..or pull Kratos closer.. man...no matter HOW you look at this..Link HAS to win

There are so many things wrong with your logic in this sentence.  Link isn't remotely close to Kratos' strength.  Because Kratos can only cut with his weapons, that makes Link more able to beat Kratos?

You're also thinking in terms of gameplay standards.  How exactly are Link and Kratos going to fight with the same "gameplay" or rather movements? They move much differently with much different attributes, different physics in the world etc.

meh...you're dodging my questions (the ones I asked afterwards anyway)

name a single thing Kratos could do to hurt Link..please..enlighten me

if you can defeat me in a battle of wits I'll give up and declare Kratos the winner

What questions?  I just answered them.  Kratos by storyline is a much more powerful character therefore he would win.  It's that simple.  What? You want a step-by-step explanation?  Too bad, there IS no explanation because that would include gameplay elements from which any random thing can be said.  There's so much unknown in that area that we'd never get to the bottom of it.  You yourself would keep constantly saying things like "Well Link could do this if Kratos did that"  it would be a neverending discussion.  Storyline is the ONLY way to decide the outcome in these kinds of debates.

This will only take a moment of your time. *steals your watch*
