Video game movies almost never go well and I think this in particularly will go down badly (maybe as badly as Doom the movie). Space kill them all games just do not make interesting movies. Name a single good sci fi movie that got by primarily on action scenes. Star Wars, Serenity, Star Trek...all the greats have a lot more to them story wise and Halo just doesn't. The only interesting part of the Halo story is that AI chick who makes snarky remarks. |
Aliens. And even that had more emotional depth than the entire Halo trilogy. I'd also argue that SW is mostly action-oriented. Then again, I don't think most SW is any good.
