Bigger? Definitely Halo 4. Everyone knows there will always be a new Mario game but the Halo series was thought to end with Halo 3. I guess it wouldn't be much of a surprise but still more than Mario.
Better? Probably Mario. At least it brings something new... I guess. Haven't played either of the series too much but from what I've heard, Halo hasn't changed much while Mario has (well, not necessarily much but still more). Anyway, every Mario game seems to be very high quality (excluding 'spin-offs').
