The PS2 platform is different from the Wii , it had way more marketshare.

 

The Wii's market share is more similar to it's competitors than the PS2 , despite this the Wii has a poor Quality:Shovelware ratio possibly even outdoing the PS2.

This is called failed rationalization. 

The marketshare between Wii and PS2 is irrelevant, it's the status as market leader that gets the flood of crap.
