Okay, the Wii sold 189,493,530 units. The Playstation 3 sold 8,383,429 units, before Sony finally pulled out of the video game industry. The Xbox 360 sold 24,495,590 units. The Playstation 2 finally died in the year 2008, sellig 136,348,349 units. The Nintendo DS sold 138,459,340 units. The Playstation Portable sold 29,940,393 units. After the Playstation 3 went down, the Playstation Portable went down with it. Blu-Ray defeated HD-DVD, but than downloading movies onto computers won the format war.

Nintendo's next generation console is called the Nintendo Sphere. It is retailed at $249.95. So far, it isn't selling as strongly as the Wii, but that is expected to change after Super Mario Sphered is released. It is light blue, and has a spherical shape to it. Its graphics far surpass the Playstation 3's. Super Mario Universe, Super Smash Bros. Elite, and Mario Kart: Ultimate are its best selling games. It uses spherical controllers, and they work just like the wiimote, but better. Microsoft released the Xbox 3000, but it failed after selling only 4,393,342 units. Microsoft pulled out of the video game industry, and is now focusing on computers.

The iRiver G10 was released, and has sold 11,349,340 units, making it the best selling portable, not made by Nintendo, or Sony. It was eventually discontinued. Its best selling game was Super Flyers. Nintendo released another portable gaming console called the Nintendo Lava. It is slightly smaller than the Nintendo DS Lite, does everything the Nintendo DS Lite can do, but better, and has motion sensing capabilities, much like the wiimote, and Nintendo Sphere controller. The Gameboy Nano, a new member to the Gameboy family, was also released. The Nintendo Wii finally got its DVD/CD capabilities, and slightly increased the number of Wii's sold.

Motorola joined the console war with the Motorola Geneva. It sold 45,494,495 units. Its best selling game was Tiger Schnapps, a new platformer. Tiger Schnapps became the new mascot for Motorola.

Nintendo became so powerful that a new city in Japan was named Nintenland, and Nintenland became the new, capital city in Japan.
