In 15 weeks, out of holiday, MKWii sold more than NSMB did in 52 weeks. In America.

Roughly the same for Others, but 17 weeks, not 15.

In Japan, NSMB sold in 4 weeks what MKWii did in 17.

Japan is the only place NSMB stands a change to MKWii. But, now, NSMB has almost stopped selling in Japan. It has 5-6K weekly sales.

 

This looks very good for MKWii, but NSMB still has 60-70K weekly sales. MKWii might beat NSMB before after the DS successor is out.
