Not hard as such, but far more dependent on luck than it should be. Both in single player and online, it's too easy to go from cruising at the front as a result of solid driving to struggling at the back due to a successon of unavoidable attacks. You might say that that's part of the game, but it's a part of the game that can lead to enormous frustration, especially when it happens time and again. For me, reviewers were right to highlight this as a weakness and score the game accordingly.

It only depends on luck when you're of the same level as the people playing with you.

It's much easier than the other MK.

 No it doesn't.

Off-line, I can win every single match. Sure, I don't get triple stars in all cups, as you need to drive fast as heck then, but I can always get all the points. In any speed. If you use a strategy, there's next to no luck at all.

Now online, there may seem to be a lot of luck. There is some, but not a lot.

In the Europe GP, I bet that every person would beat me if we ran without items. Still, I normally end up in the middle. Why? Because I don't rush for first place. I go in the middle for most of the race, keeping bananas on my tail, and a shell as a backup. You can see behind you, so it would be a miracle if someone hit you.

Sure, in most races I'm not going to beat TwRoO, but sometimes, he's going to get hit by a blue shell on the finish line, and I'll take my shell and shoot him, leaving me at a change of 1st place.

If you're a moron, there may seem that there's a lot of luck in MKWii, but it's really because the other guys outsmart you.
