| starcraft said: @ ssj12 Because sales are the only quantifiable evidence people cant argue with. Another long (LONG) shot is Resident Evil 5. The first one sold 5 million, it'll release halfway through next year in a lull, and its on two platforms with graphics-hungry audiences. |
but there is also a thing called review standards. PC games are reviewed MUCH harsher then console games. A PC shooter getting a 7/10 is basically like a console shooter pulling off a 10/10.
There is a major difference between quality for a piece of prioritized electronics like a game console and a computer. PC software can make a profit without selling 1 million copies but a console game like MGS4 which doesnt come close to crysis's graphics takes over a million sold to pull a profit.
Quality over Quantity when comparing PC vs Console starcraft even in sales. Only highest quality or cheapest costing innovative games sell on PC, the opposite is normally true for consoles (see all the Petz titles on the DS).
This is why I stand by saying
1. Half-Life 2
2. Crysis or TF2 (ill add that)
3. BF2, UT3, or CSS
