Are thousands and thousands of people really holding off on buying PS3s, just so that they can get 80GB of storage space instead of 40GB? Apologies, but I find that hard to believe. It's far more likely that sales are slow because we're in the lazy summer months of the year...
Only the market-leading platforms are able to do big numbers in the slow months, and those platforms are clearly Wii and DS in Europe. The PS3, 360 (and PSP) are all dependent on new software releases to drive hardware sales. When the big fall titles release, their numbers will go up again.
