Wow people really think that the PS3 and X360 will continue at the rate they are now you need to look at what is coming up in the game library the price cuts that will be here what attracts buyers dont just look at comparing this gen and last gen things have changed alot and it can only get better for the consumer(us) and dont expect sale trends to continue from now until the end of the gen.

I agree that trends will not stay the same, but I think there is a very good chance that once Nintendo's production fully catches up that the Wii demand, that sales will go up well before they come down.

People really expect the Wii to do DS numbers they are different one is cheaper(handheld) and people buy for one or two games unless a serious gamer(my dad has a DS and had since the original design and only has 4 games(bought cause it was cheap)).People buy the console for the games and the amount of time they will play on it. Buying a handheld doesnt bother many people because they are cheap but buying a console does because they are generally more than twice the price of a handheld so this "craze" for the Wii is from very good marketing not from the games otherwise i would have got one even though with each new release it does look more appealing but it still needs to prove to me it wont turn into the Gamecube same as the X360 needs to prove it wont turn into the Xbox1.By mid next year i expect sales to start leveling off for the Wii and drop down to around 50k a week and the PS3 to be around 45k a week and the X360 to be at 30k a week but next year is PS3 year due to MGS4,GT5,Killzone2,LBP and others and then 09 has FFXIII and i not sure what else.

Demand for the Wii has already leveled off in the UK they instock everywhere and have been for 3month.
