But the recent layoffs and cancellations at Lucasarts will just provide excuses there. If the physics on the Wii version aren't good enough, the Nintendo fanboys will use that. If the Wii version isn't much weaker than the HD versions, the Sony and Microsoft fanboys will use that. Of course there may be excuses for Dead Rising either way, but the Lucasarts thing is just an obvious one for that game. |
There will always be excuses. No fanboy sect is going to secede just because one game does or doesn't come out comparable to an HD game. In fact that will be the excuse. Here a fictional conversation that will probably take place in the future:
(Dead Rising for Wii does perform and holds almost as many zombies as the 360 version)
HD fanboy: That's just one game and was a really ugly 360 first year title. There are so many others that show such a difference between the consoles and can't be done on the Wii.
Nintendo fanboy: Dead Rising proves it can be done. We can't be responsible for other developers' laziness in regards to Wii-development.
Onyxmeth's middleground: You're both wrong.
BTW: Can you link me info on these Lucas Arts layoffs and cancellations and how it's affected development on The Force Unleashed? I hadn't heard about it up until this point.
