Haha! That's funny. Capcom would have to entirely re-invent the series to do that. The game is very unfriendly to most western gamers (think MGS 1, 2, and 3).

Although, the Wii could be their portal for that change.

But... Metal Gear Solid 1 2 and 3 sold well in the west...

I don't see how it's unfriendly to western gamers either.

It's bascially an single player MMO but fun from what i can tell. (Kinda like FF12, but better gameplay wise)

Assuming they let you connect online with your friends... i could see a lot of MMO freaks loving it...(and the $10+ they save on a monthly subscription)

It's all a matter of getting people to give it a shot though... and that takes good advertising... and likely expensive advertising.

The targeting system will be the first thing that would need to change to help it be more control friendly. It's hard enough on PS2/P, and unless they could a Zelda-ish targeting it will still be a nightmare on the Wii.

While MGS did sell well, many stayed away because they couldn't play it at the time. I know I did. I couldn't play it when I was younger because it was just too complicated for me.

Lastly, the online system would have to be flawless and be immensly better than Brawls online system. There can't be any lag, 4+ players, and the ease to find your friends and get into a game. (that's why the PSP games are so popular. It's so easy to play with your friends)

(Personal note: I wish they also make the single player guild quests doable. Also, include some kind of story, anything)
