Well I can see that costing more to develop, combined with the fact that games sell so well on the other home systems, means the Wii is unlikely to have dominant support like the DS. But it's still likely to grow a lot, especially if upcoming hardcore games like Mad World and The Conduit sell well enough.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
