Games like Gears of wars or Unreal Tournament appeal more to Microsoft and Sony core users because they are more concerned about High definitions, realism and hard drives while Nintendo core users tend to be more strict with the quality and the substance from Nintendo games. The MS/PS core userbase is much younger and sensitive while the Nintendo one is more mature and sensible.
Is very understandable. |
Yes...but who said an Epic game on the Wii with PROPER marketing wouldn't sell well enough to make a good profit? And I don't mean some crap game, I mean an ACTUAL game with a lot of effort going into it. GReat graphical capabilities of Epic + whatever they can think of for the controls (I mean...if they excel in coding I think they can excel in coding games with the Wii Remote), with really good marketing = win. And hey, Wii games cost A LOT LESS money to develop for on the Wii than the HD consoles so it wouldn't be all that hard to break a profit. many hardcore games have sold well on the Wii, but quite a few haven't due to little marketing.

Ah sure. But they won't never do that.Listen to them. They act like teenagers that want to cause an impression talking like adults supporting the bigger and strongers jocks and ignoiring the small nerds. That makes them blind and just follow them like groupies.
I really doubt that a game like Gears of wars would sell in the wii. Maybe, but I doubt it. Its only assets are the graphics and the macho attitude. MS/PS users see the game and exclaim "woah awesome doode!" But Nintendo users see the game and they would say "that's it? That's all it has?" I pass." MS/PS users are relatively new. Nintendo users are more wise.
I really don't mind about them. They have showed to be immature, arrogants and uncreative. I am more concerned about other developers like Suda51 that yes they have their worries about making theri game to the "weak" wii...but they'll still do it. They are taking that risk. No risk no win. That's the kind of people I support. Not 30 year old kids like Epic.

Respect for you -3. Saying Gears only has graphics and a macho attitude shows you are ignorant and probably have never even played it. Extremely biased and fanboy on your part.
Nintendo users are more wise? Another biased and unsupported comment, though I'm not arrogant enough to say that they aren't wise.

I actually did and I posted a thread on the forum. It is a fun game and it has great technical achievments. But story wise and gameplay wise is barely mediocre. I played it and thought "is good but won't make run and buy an xbox360"
And yes they are Sorry but more than 20 years in the medium makes you wise. Is common sense. But of course, there are exceptions.

"Barely mdeiocre". Hence why I don't respect you as much as I used to. 5 million customers aren't all wrong, and interestingly enough, Gears is still being played online . Yes, it does take skill. That doesn't make a game bad.
Don't forget that 20 years only pertains to fans who have been with nintendo that long, and more then not, half the customers probably aren't even 20. Many others just bought the Wii and have probably never played a game before in they're lives.

And of ocurse I am talking about the core base user. The new audience is jshaping. Some may move up others will drop or others will stay. Do you think that new users play GOW2 or Zelda TP? of course not.
You don't respect me? why you should? Those are videogames we are talking about. Is not politics. Is not the end of the world. Calm down.
