Perhaps my wording was poor. I didn't mean to imply that the wii was only targeting one demographic but that its focus was on different demographic segments than the PS3/360. And the reason I marganlize the overlap is not because it doesn't appeal to the traditional gamer segments but because I think those segments are largely getting a Wii plus another console. So in that regard they aren't directly competing since that segment is choosing both. |
