PS3 was avalible for only 6 months in 2007 year in Mexico so I think you are still incorrect. For what I know Ps3 was losing there with 360 by around 15k per month in second half of 2007 and I agree that it's sensible to assume that PS3 may be still losing by that kind of number in 2008.
But I disagree with extending this advantage to all Latin America market.
I would keep Canada out of this estimation as we have much better idea on wha's going on there. For 2008 PS3 is winning there with 170,500 units sold vs 129,000 sold for X360 through June (PS3 advantage is 6.9k per month). Link
So for me X360 may be gaining around 8k per month in Americas outside of USA not 40k as you are claiming.
