but what if VG doesn't need to do them.

Like I said above. What is NPD lifetime to date PS3 sales in U.S. vs VG and ditto for 360. If they are the same any adjustments would make it wrong. and would mean either of two things

1. vgchartz had been overtracking ps3 and undertracked it this week to make up difference.
2. npd had been undertracking ps3 so it overtracked it this week to make up difference.

So before you bitch get all the facts so you know how it is. What is LTD of each tracker for the systems.

It's not all about totals, I mean if I wanted to I could put the 360 outselling the PS3 since both of the consoles released and then randomly add 8 million one week to the PS3's total to make up the difference.

The real issue here is that ioi has the 360 beating the PS3 for the month of July, and that didn't happen according to NPD. They wouldn't just overtrack/undertrack to make up differences, the numbers actually have to make sense. You can't put the Wii at 30k for the first 3 weeks of a month and then put it up to 500k for the last week, it doesn't make sense.

So like I said, its more about who outsold who than actual totals, if the totals are fine, then they are fine, but that doesn't mean you can ignore the fact that the PS3 beat the 360 in July, it has to be changed.

As in go buy us some coffee.
