I agree, I like a good RPG or Shooter still, but I don't feel like I need more of them.

I keep talking about me buying a 360, this is for the JRPGs and, more so, for the really good original stuff on XBLA.

Same goes for PS3, I am looking forward to making levels in LBP and playing Fat Princess OverweightBig Boned Royal.

The biggest change for me has been live and multiplayer.  Before the 360 I never went online.  Now when I play shooters R6, GRAW, GOW online its a totally new game and experience (and tons harder people online are insanely good most of the time) online changes how it plays

I think many people do not care about online play.

Reasons why I don't like it:

1. I suck at shooters, I hate being reminded how much I suck.

2. Teens and tweens, I do not like them.

3. Hateful language. Yes, I know I can turn off the voices, but then what's the point, I may as well play off line.

4. People starting matches they don't intend on finishing (Mostly an RTS problem)

5. Live costs money.

6. I don't like shooters or sports that much.

Edit: though many, many people are playing Mario Kart and SSBB Online... just go check out their 1000+ post threads.

Before 360 I was not a fan of online either, MS makes it pretty easy to get online and find friends to play with

Reason why I like online

1. I suck at shooters but most of my friends (30-40 year old) do also and I play with them mostly so when everyone playing sucks we are all on par and its fun!  Also I find a few cool people along the way and add them to my firends list

2. tweens and teens is being harsh many are cool a lot are annoying, I play with adults, I post onn boards looking for adult games you could do the same

3. Hateful language is an issue I agree. I dont play with people who do it.  Once you buiild up a good friends list this issue goes away mostly.  A good host wont put up with it and when I host I boot people after a warning if they use hate labguage

4. Again get a goods friends list and they wont quite on you

5. Live does cost money $50.00 for 13 months thats $3.85 a month you pay for internet access probably like $25-$50.00 a month.  Its nice to have the matching and friends list

6. Got to admit shooters are fun online and mostly what I play online so I cantt argue with you there.

PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game
