This is an amazing mascot for a console... if that console was the Wii. I thought the PS3 crowd were the hardcore gamers and somehow Sackboy feels just a tiny bit too much like Mario, casual and friendly, for the PS. I've always viewed Snake as the Playstation mascot, just as Sonic was the Sega mascot. Another thing, I have not seen a mascot being made by the company. The mascots make themselves after a game's sucess not before. This could be a bad move for Sony, or a really good one.
