While you're right on an intellectual level, I have to admit that anticipation can be part of the fun as well. I still remember tuning in every day to the Smash Dojo just to see what new tidbit we'd be graced with, because it was fun to keep myself hyped about Brawl. Similarly, it's nice to know something's coming, so that you can look forward to it. I guess it all comes down to being able to "savor" what's coming. Mind you, the new strategy of "here's Wario Land, a 2D console platformer...that's coming out next week" is pretty awesome in its own right, but it's so novel that it'll take a while for it to really sink in for many of us. Until it does, please forgive our impatience. Edit: And goodnight Trestres. Just remember, things rarely seem as bleak in the morning. |
I get into information overload at times with so many games to pay attention to. I do understand your point about anticipation. I am the kind that waits until a game is 20-30 at most before making a purchase. Just different attitudes. Nothing to forgiove. :)
