NPD is the closest we can get to accurate numbers.

If you say so. To me and NPD not having 40%+ of the market to count allows them the ability to be just as off as VGC or any other tracking firm. Just look how far off the two Japanese firms are from one another most weeks.

EDIT: Read norlead's post, also shows NPD has historically been farther off than VGC.

 

Sorry but in the past members on this forum always used NPD as a confirmation of the the real numbers.  Remember all those 'PS3 overtracked LOOOOL' comments ? Even ioi said it once and now PS3 outsells X360 and VGC looks to be wrong we are all going to say now VGC>>>>>>>>>>>NPD???

I have always maintained that VGC could be >>> than NPD. I havn't seen NPD used as a "confirmation" on this site by ioi. Only by fans of particular consoles to yell at VGC when they think VGC is way off or showing bias etc.

 

Then you didn't checked last month NPD's thread.

And then why ioi adjust the numbers like (almost?) always to what NPD says?

If PS3 looks to be overtracked by VGC the number are adjusted down the week after... Coincidence?
